It was super fun. Basically, jeepneys are like public buses, but they look very cool. While they do follow a route, drivers can take you up to your exact destination. And you can ask him to stop anytime, anywhere. A ride only costs 7 pesos!

The Philippines is 80% Catholic. In Metro Manila, there are many beautiful churches that have Spanish architecture.

It's the only building not destroyed when the Philippines was invaded during WWII. And now, it's a World Heritage site!

I walked awhile before actually finding the area. According to Wikipedia, its the oldest district in Manila. It had been heavily damaged during the Second World War.

I walked about 500meters along the main street of the hostel and finally found the Light Rail Transit, Abad Santos Station. Single Ticket only costs 15 pesos (35 cents).

It took over an hour to get to the hostel in traffic time. The taxi driver was super nice and helpful. He didn't try to hustle me or anything. I found the hostel!
